No. 1 UConn continues domination, downs Syracuse

NCAA Basketball Betting Lines

02/24/2010 - Syracuse, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Maya Moore's dominant 38-point, 20-rebound performance led the way as UConn continued its domination of all competition with an 87-66 victory over Syracuse, its 67th consecutive win.

Tiffany Hayes contributed 22 points for the Huskies (28-0, 14-0 Big East), who are poised to secure the conference title versus Georgetown Saturday and move a game closer to matching its own NCAA record of 70 consecutive wins.

Juanita Ward posted 11 points and six rebounds for the Orange (19-8, 6-8), who have dropped three of four. Erica Morrow and Elashier Hall also scored 11 in defeat.

A 17-6 run near the end of the first half effectively let the Huskies seize control of the game. Kaili McLaren started it with under six minutes left on a deuce for a 32-23 contest and Moore's two free throws ended the burst with 1:23 left to make it 49-29.

UConn's lead remained firmly in double digits for the rest of the contest.
