Amare Stoudemire had a team-high 24 points and 15 boards for the Suns, who occupy the fifth spot in a tight West race, a half-game behind both Denver and Utah and a game south of Dallas. Steve Nash added 11 points and 12 assists for Phoenix, which has dropped two of three. "We had a really nice flow and rhythm going, and we just kind of got stagnant," Nash said. "We missed some shots, but I thought more than that we lost the tempo and our rhythm." Gaining one of the top four seeds in the West and home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs is paramount to the Suns if they hope for a deep postseason run. Phoenix will close out the regular season by playing the Nuggets and Jazz. Houston, meanwhile, won its third straight on Friday when Aaron Brooks scored 10 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, and the Rockets held off the playoff-bound Charlotte Bobcats, 97-90, at the Toyota Center. Trevor Ariza had 17 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Rockets, who won their third straight game. Luis Scola had 12 points and nine rebounds, while Chase Budinger also scored 12 in the win. "It wasn't pretty, we didn't play great," Scola said. "Unlike other games, we were great to make stops. We stayed with it and stuck to the game plan." Phoenix, which has won six straight home games, is 3-0 vs. the Rockets this season and scored over 110 points in each of those contests.
